KNOCKERDOWN PUB… LIFE adjusting to COVID…. April 5th …update

The Government has confirmed we are allowed to open for outdoor eating and drinking only…. we shall open our doors on Wednesday 14th April, we have erected a beautiful Pergoda complete with heaters and lights….these tables are available for dining and bookings are being taken (2 hour slots max).

All our other tables in our garden are available on a first come, first serve basis for drinks and/or food

Under the current guidelines we will be asking all of our guests to follow the rule of 6/two households and everyone over the age of 16 will be required to complete Track & Trace before ordering.

We will be continuing to open in a COVID- secure manner

Please respect our staff, we are simply working to government guidelines in an already challenging situation.

We have been working hard behind the scenes to make sure that when we reopened our pub, we have made it as safe as possible, whilst also following the latest government guidelines.

We have some small but important requests for our customers which will help us look after everyone in our pub. These requests mean you can enjoy some well-earned time in our pub, whilst still being safe. We are all in this together and you know we are doing everything we can to protect both you and our staff.

SAFE SOCIALISING

We are ensuring safe socialising in our pub by following the latest social distancing government guidelines. We are encouraging you to book a table before you visit, so you know you have a safe space to enjoy it. Tables are limited to 6 people at any one time in accordance with social gathering guidelines.

Our tables are arranged to ensure safe spacing please do not move them.

We are managing and monitoring any queues to make them operate as smooth and easy as possible.

We are asking you to follow these social distancing measures so everyone can enjoy their time with us.

OUR STAFF

All our staff have been trained in accordance with the latest government guidelines for safe working and have completed a COVID awareness course.

We have carried out full risk assessments on our pub, including taking deliveries to protect both our staff and suppliers.

We ask you to respect our staff and any requests they have, to keep everyone safe, failure to do so will result in you being asked to leave.

THE TOILETS

We are only allowing two people in our ladies and gents toilets at one time, so please come back out if two are already in there and wait until it is safe to enter, while queuing please follow social distancing measures. Our toilets will be regularly checked and cleaned during opening.

HAND SANITISING

We are promoting good hand hygiene by having hand sanitisers at entrances and throughout our pubs.

We are regularly checking and sanitising handwashing facilities in toilets.

We are making sure there is hand sanitiser available where tills are accepting cash.

We are asking you to please maintain your own personal hand hygiene to protect everyone.

REDUCED CONTACT

We are using menus, that can be can be recycled after your visit.

We are asking customers to use contactless payment methods, but you can still choose to pay by cash.

We are using screens around our bar and till to protect both you and our staff.

We will deliver food to your table in the safest way possible.

 

TABLE SERVICE

At our tables we are operating table service for food and drinks, we ask you to bear with us while we provide this service on limited staff under the new guidelines.

DURING YOUR VISIT

On arrival you will be asked to supply your name and contact details in accordance with track and test guidelines. Failure to comply will result in you being asked to leave the premises.

You must wear a face covering to enter the premises, this can be removed when seated at your table, you must wear your mask to go to the toilets and when you leave the premises. We ask you all to remain seated at your table during your visit and to respect other people’s space and social distancing. Failure to comply and you will be asked to leave.

If you are seated outside and we experience adverse weather conditions you will only be able to seek shelter where social distancing can be maintained, if this cannot be adhered to we will provide your food and drink as a take away.
